# LawfulCarry Privacy Policy

LawfulCarry is designed to keep your carry profile and trip-planning workflow on your device. This Privacy Policy explains how the current release handles personal data, location permissions, notifications, and local storage.

## 1. Information We Store

LawfulCarry stores your carry profile, saved handguns, trip plans, alert preferences, and local access state on your device.

If you allow notifications, the app also stores the local settings needed to send trip and border alerts on that device.

## 2. Location Data

If you grant location access, LawfulCarry uses your location to determine your current state, monitor trip progress, and detect approaching or crossed state borders.

Background location is used only to support active trip tracking and related border alerts when you choose to run a trip with GPS enabled.

In the current release, LawfulCarry is designed around on-device processing and does not upload location history to a LawfulCarry server.

## 3. Notifications

If you allow notifications, LawfulCarry can send local device alerts for border crossings, approaching states, and active-trip events.

Notification content is generated from your local profile, trip plan, and the app's bundled state-law dataset.

## 4. Data Sharing and Remote Services

The current release does not include a LawfulCarry account backend, cloud sync, or remote analytics pipeline.

LawfulCarry does not sell personal information in the current release.

## 5. Your Choices

You can deny location access and continue using the app without GPS-based trip tracking.

You can deny notifications and continue using the app without device alerts.

You can edit or remove local profile and trip data from within the app experience.

## 6. Legal Guidance Disclaimer

LawfulCarry provides educational summaries and workflow support. It does not replace official statutes, law-enforcement guidance, or advice from a licensed attorney.

You remain responsible for verifying current laws, permit validity, and transport requirements before travel.

LawfulCarry may update this Privacy Policy as features change. If future releases add cloud accounts, subscriptions, analytics, or remote support tools, this policy should be updated before those features are released.
